Hackberry goes online

So, even though ‘entrepreneurship’ isn’t commonly found in children’s books, we find they have a lot more in common than you’d imagine.

And by honing these skills from an early age, kids are able to spot opportunities, set goals and work their way towards them.

One of the huge mistakes people make is that they try to force an interest on themselves. You don’t choose your passions; your passions choose you

Market Day 2018

Hackberry Entrepreneur Program

Based out of Canada, YELL is a simple, innovative international program that ignites the entrepreneurial spirit in kids and inspires them to think outside the box, solve problems and follow their passions from a young age.

Lemonade Stand Kids

Our Lemonade Stand Kids program introduces children to entrepreneurship. Kids work step-by-step to build their own mini-business – and we make sure they have a lot of fun while they’re at it.

Kids are introduced to the building blocks of business in a way that’s engaging and easy to understand – by starting a business! They work through the steps of starting their own micro-business while learning basic business terms and concepts. The course ends in a Market Day, where the kids sell their products to real customers – you!

In our KidPreneurs program, children are introduced to the world of entrepreneurship in a fun and engaging way – by starting their own business! Kids learn all the business basics, along with valuable life skills, as they prepare to sell their products at a Market Day.

They learn the essentials of starting a business from how to spot an opportunity and decide on a product or service, to prototyping, marketing, setting goals, customer service and the art of selling (a product, but also an idea.) This course covers all the basics at a level that 10 to 12 year-olds can understand and relate to. Soft skills emphasize perseverance, communication and leadership. Who said business is boring?

Our BizKids program guides kids through the steps of building their own business while introducing them to the exciting world of entrepreneurship, enhancing their workplace readiness, regardless of future career choices. The program concludes with a Market Day where they sell their products.

They start a new business or continue working on an existing business (from the earlier program), with the potential to keep running the business. All the fundamentals of starting and running a business are covered at a level appropriate for 13 to 15 year-olds.

Soft skills focus on leadership, communication, perseverance and time management.
